Hannah Nelsen is a multidisciplinary artist who works with dioramas, installations and painting, among other media. In her work, she explores the relationship between humans and nature, critically questioning our self-perception and idea of “naturalness” in the Age of Anthropocene. The examination of biographical and cultural symbols, as well as the question of perception and reality, play a central role in her artistic practice.
Hannah Nelsen ist eine multidisziplinäre Künstlerin, die sich unter anderem mit Dioramen, Installation und Malerei beschäftigt. In ihren Arbeiten setzt sie sich mit der Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Natur auseinander und hinterfragt dabei kritisch unsere Selbstwahrnehmung und Vorstellung von „Natürlichkeit“ im Zeitalter des Anthropozän. Die Auseinandersetzung mit biografisch-kulturellen Symbolen sowie die Frage nach Wahrnehmung und Realität spielen dabei eine zentrale Rolle in ihrer künstlerischen Praxis.
